Bramblemead Upholstery was founded in 1997 by Martin G. Flook after studying in Wiltshire to become a professional upholster, Martin moved to Devon to work with an established furniture restoration company in Tiverton and at the same time continuing to build his own business. After 2 years in 1999 Martin began working full time building up his own business. Bramblemead Upholstery is now a well estabilished company with a loyal customer base.

Bespoke chairs and sofas in many contemporary and traditional styles to choose from – suitable for Home, Guest House, Pubs, Hotel use.

Seasonal update of ‘New’ ranges of fabric for upholstery and soft furnishings eg ‘Ross’, ‘Wemyss’, ‘Blendworth’ and ‘Niche’ Designer fabrics sourced or matched from fabric library.

Loose covers, curtains, cushions, bedcovers all made to order.

Total rebuild from frame or just webbings, spring or recovering, no job is too small

All types of cushions renewed – foam, feather, fibre. Top quality foam can be cut to order using our specialist equipment.

Best quality leather can be ordered in many finishes and colours at fabric prices in some cases.

Boats, caravans, garden and conservatory furniture renovated.

Several items of Period Furniture are available for sale. We can also source items and organise restoration by experts.

 

Upholstery Courses at Bramblemead

We regularly have demonstration/open days Contact Us for further information.

Here you would be able to see how you could restore your own chair traditionally or even make a brand new stool or cover a headboard. All tools are provided for your use and all the materials you require can be purchased from us. All skill levels/abilities catered for.

A two session course ,would enable you to complete a small project eg. A drop in seat. Contact Us on 01297 35 355 for special introductory pricing.

The course will include: beverages and a light lunch. Build materials will be at a nominal extra charge, and if you book and attend before March 2009 you can choose a FREE top cover (half a metre) of fabric from our stock rolls.

Early booking is essential as the maximum group size is four students so that you have the oppertunity of some one to one tuition. Courses run from 10am to 4pm with breaks for tea/coffee and lunch.
